When we think of hens and roosters, we classify them as barnyard animals. Therefore, many will find it interesting that chickens can be very cuddly and make decent indoor pets. The birds are relatively intelligent and they can recognize differences in humans. They can and will develop a fondness for particular people. That’s what happened when the rooster Koji developed his affinity for getting cuddly with his rescuer’s daughter.

When Koji’s family first rescued him, he was sickly. He was shy, quiet, and afraid. As they nursed him back to health, the rescuer’s daughter took the reigns with him. The rooster got used to being in the house and loves being cuddly. A longer YouTube video explains Koji’s early days with the family and how he chases the daughter.

The rooster will run from room to room, chasing the girl until she gives him cuddles. He lives in a dog crate at night, and when he isn’t roaming the house, following his favorite human. The pair do almost everything together. Koji helps her with homework, and they watch anime together. He does have his toys and will play with them alone and with his humans.
He gets upset when his girl isn’t around and will stomp around the house. Music calms the raging beast, so Mom puts the music on. Koji is totally a house rooster. He comes running when he hears the microwave beep or the refrigerator open. He even has cute little outfits to wear on special occasions.
