With so many amazing places to see, activities to partake in, and delicious food to try, it’s safe to say that studying abroad has its perks. While it’s clear Sam adores traveling, it seems she doesn’t get to see family as often as she’d like. That said, that very same family loves her so much, they’ll go out of their way to find ways to connect. The best example, however, has to come from the moment Dad surprises his daughter in-person! See this tear-jerking surprise unfold in the video below.

“Quite literally the best dad in the world,” Sam writes in the caption of her viral video. “I’m so lucky.”

“The thought of him packing his little bag by myself and sitting alone in the airport waiting and on the plane makes me sick to my stomach. So cute,” someone writes in reply to Sam’s heartwarming video, with another admitting, “The way I started crying when you did.”
A third person sweetly imagines what Dad was like on his journey to Rome: “You know he told every person he talked to ‘I’m going to surprise my daughter!'”
