In this precious clip, Mom filmed one of her feathered friends, Mooney, while sitting in the car. This duck had the sweetest expression on her face, which slowly turned into a smile as she scrunched her eyes.
“Have you ever seen a duck smile?” asked the animal’s owner over the footage. “Well, now you have.”
In her caption, she added, “Mooney is the sweetest little soul you’ll ever meet. She has a heart of gold & loves getting her morning ‘coffee’, playing the tickle game, doing her wimmy’s (swimming), & sharing a smile for anyone who needs it. If you’re having a bad day or going through a difficult time in your life we hope Mooney’s smile brought a smile to your face. And a little hope into your day.”
We’re all falling in love with this adorable, smiling duck.
We don’t know about you, but seeing this duck smile definitely made our day brighter! Commenters certainly seemed to enjoy the clip. Some shared that they had not, in fact, ever seen one of these animals make that particular facial expression before.
“I have oodles of ducks, I’ve raised 2 and I haven’t seen one smile, I’ll be looking from now on,” wrote one user.
Another added, “She smiles with her eyes! Sooo sweet!!”
The McLeod family has gone viral on social media for their wholesome animal content before. Some of their most popular videos follow their ducks’ bedtime routine, which is incredibly cute! In most of these clips, the feathered siblings waddle into their bedroom and tuck themselves in for a good night’s sleep. Of course, Mom always makes sure they’re settled in and comfortable before turning off the light.
In such a lovely, cozy home, it’s no wonder one of these ducks has learned to smile!
