Adolescence is an inelegant time in most people’s lives.

Let’s blame it on all those hormones, but most kids tend to go through an awkward phase when they hit puberty! Who among us could ever claim to have been “cool” in middle school? Most of us were still wearing braces and thinking boy bands were cool. Like I said, it’s a weird time. As an adult, it’s interesting to see our kids go through this period of their lives… but it’s not always easy to watch! Sometimes, it can be downright cringe-worthy.

Brandi Wood Gordon of Gulf Breeze, Florida, knows the feeling of watching her kid do something socially awkward. A video she took of her son, Fuller, is now going seriously viral.

While at an outdoor festival at Community Life United Methodist Church, Brandi watched as Fuller decided to impress a girl in the only way he knew how: by dancing his heart out.

“I feel like she’s not impressed with him,” Brandi said when she shared the video on Facebook.

As Kool & The Gang’s “Celebration” played in the background, Fuller pulled out all the stops. His eyes remained fixed on the object of his desire: an older-looking young lady with long, dark hair.

Undeterred by her apparent lack of interest, Fuller carried on for several minutes, giving it all he had! His face was a mask of concentration as he exercised some fancy footwork. He had the raised eyebrow-expression of a kid who’s asking, “You like what you see?”

Sadly, judging by the girl’s body language and cool expression, it doesn’t look like this is going to result in a love connection for Fuller. But it’s definitely a big hit online – it’s been viewed 7.4 million times so far, and counting!

Way to go, Fuller! Keep doing you.
