A woman on social media shared the sweetest thing her father did on her wedding day, and we’re in tears! Growing up, Madi J. Rummel had a truly special relationship with her dad. Now that she’s a married adult, only one thing has changed: this man has two wonderful daughters to love! On Madi’s big day, her dad welcomed her wife to the family with the most precious note.

In order to understand the meaning behind this man’s gift to his daughter-in-law, we’ll have to rewind a bit. Apparently, when Madi was just a little girl, her father had to work a lot of the time. So, she decided to draw a picture of herself that he could keep at his job. This “little Madi” meant so much to her dad that he laminated the note and took it with him everywhere!
Fast forward to Madi’s wedding day, and her father knew exactly what to give his daughter-in-law. He figured that she could use a “little Madi” of her own! So, he presented her with a copy of the adorable drawing he’d been carrying with him all these years.
“Just a copy, though, not the real thing,” the bride reiterated. “That will probably stay in his wallet for life.”
In her social media post, Madi shared a couple of pictures from her wedding, including the moment that her dad gave his new daughter-in-law the treasured note. At the end of the slideshow, she also added a beautiful photo of her and her father dancing their hearts out during the reception.
Commenters were so moved by Madi’s post about her dad.
