A video recently released by the Pasadena Humane Society is melting hearts all over the world. It features a young girl named Julia and her best friend Walter, the cutest pup we’ve seen in ages.

Julia’s mom, Chrissy, saw Walter for the first time back in January and knew from that moment, that the pup was meant for her little girl. “I remember just looking at him, and I just knew that he was meant to be ours,” she said. “They’re the same.”

They do share one big thing in common, Julia and Walter are both deaf.
And they bonded immediately. Every day, Walter waits for her to finish her homework, and then the duo are off to play until the sun goes down.

But that’s not all. Their relationship was made even more special when Julia taught him to understand sign language.
She has taught Walter all of the basic commands using ASL, including “sit,” “food” and “water.” The unique language connection has made their love even stronger.
“I love Walter,” Julia says in sign language. “Walter is my best friend.”
“Walter and Julia have one amazing bond and I’m glad everyone has taken a liking to it,”Chrissy said. “Hopefully our story will encourage others to adopt and love their pets a little more. These two are my loves and they have taught me that love defines all.â€
