Tito, the raccoon, was the original raccoon artist. He was raised in a home after being rescued. He began his career as a content provider on YouTube, later adding Instagram and TikTok. Over the years, Tito has had many adventures. Now, he has other raccoon siblings and some feline roommates. Piper has become the resident artist, taking over much of the painting production.
The family put their little charges to work because it can be expensive to rehabilitate and house raccoons. It started with Tito’s YouTube channel in 2017. Piper contends that since she is helping to pay the bills with her artistic ability, she should be able to keep the Christmas tree.
Although the raccoon has lost this round, Piper will renew her conviction next year and continue the fight to keep her Christmas tree. If the raccoons unionize, Dad could be in a world of trouble. If you want to support Piper, check out her merchandise offerings. She might be contracting legal representation to increase her chances of keeping her tree next year.
Let’s finish by saying that raccoons are not pets. The family in our story today experienced raccoon rehabilitators. Their “pet” raccoons could not return to the wild for various reasons. They are cute and cuddly, but if you find one in the wild, please leave it or turn it over to a registered rehabilitator.
