Because Dyke is 98 years old, fans were hoping he’d break the record for the oldest person to win an Emmy.

While it seemed this would be his shot at breaking the record, turns out, the actor isn’t credited as a producer for the special. So, even though the special did win, technically the Emmy isn’t credited to Dyke. But his wife, Arlene, was a producer — and we have a feeling she won’t mind sharing the win!
In fact, Dyke himself still gave a speech during the acceptance of the award — as he should! After all, the special does honor and celebrate his iconic career. It was released in December 2023, aligning perfectly with the month that he turned 98 years old.
