We all know if we want to live a long and healthy life, we have to take care of both our bodies and our minds. Eating right, drinking plenty of water, and keeping a positive mindset can certainly help. Another key to caring for our bodies is ensuring we get plenty of exercise. Many people who continue to live an active life decade after decade will say that keeping our bodies moving is essential.

At 99 years old, Dick Van Dyke is among the legions of exercise fans. For years, he kept his fans entertained with his tremendous penchant for physical comedy. Dick also spent a good portion of his career dancing. None of that would have been possible had he not stayed on top of his physical health. Even though he is headed toward centenarian status, that doesn’t mean he plans to slow down.
At 99 Years Old, Dick Van Dyke Still Hits The Gym
He posted a video on Instagram of himself getting in a workout at a gym. He may not be the fastest or the buffest person in the gym, but he is still doing his best to keep his heart pumping and his body in shape. Dick’s efforts made an impression on his legions of fans.
One wrote, “After seeing this, I no longer have any excuses! God bless him!”
Another agreed, “I applaud this man at 99 & still working out! I admire him so much.”
A lifelong fan wrote her admiration, “My idol when I was a little girl. My idol today! Sixty years admiring him!!!!”
This person hopes to make it to 99, just like Dick Van Dyke, “Wow, I can only dream of even getting to this age and being able to do that.”
