When Top Gun was released in 1986, we fell in love with Maverick, Goose, and the Ice Man. The star-studded cast included Tom Cruise, Anthony Edwards, Kelly McGillis, and Val Kilmer. Fans wanted a sequel for years and finally got their wish 26 years later. Top Gun: Maverick premiered in 2022 with much of the original cast. It was a box office success, which left fans thirsting for more. Miles Teller joined the cast for Maverick and hinted that Top Gun 3 could be in the works. Of course, nothing is set in stone, but Miles had a lot to say to Steven Colbert recently.

Miles Teller Is Ready For “Top Gun 3“
Stephen asked Miles, who played Bradley Bradshaw, on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert if there would be another film in the Top Gun Franchise.
Miles said, “Look, you might be shocked, but I do not green-light that thing. I have nothing to do [with it].”
Miles added that if there is another film, he will have to get to the gym.
“I just told Tom, I said, give me enough time, [and a] heads up for me to get in shape. It’s one month per ab. I need a six-month heads-up,” Miles joked.
Unsatisfied with that answer, Stephen Colbert asked Miles Teller again about Top Gun 3.
“So yes, it’s happening is what you’re saying?” Stephen said hoping to lead Miles to give him the scoop.
But Miles wouldn’t give away any inside scoop that easily. “I don’t know. There’s a lot of enthusiasm on the fans’ side. There’s a lot of enthusiasm on the creative side.”
Sure, we’d love to see another film in the franchise, but for now, we’ll settle for streaming Tom Gun: Maverick on Paramount+.
