Most little boys decide pretty early on who their heroes are. Some wear capes, while others ride around in big fire trucks or patrol the streets in squad cars.

For one toddler in Brazil, though, his hero is far more accessible and has a stringed instrument as his talisman. Young Diogo lives in Criciúma, Brazil, with his family, but it’s his dad Christian Diego Mello who he idolizes. The skilled musician probably always hoped his son would catch on to his smooth tunes, but we’re guessing he never expected the little guy to steal his spotlight!

In a household filled with so many musical instruments, it’s not surprising that Diogo showed an interest in following in Dad’s footsteps at such an early age.
Back in 2013, Christian posted a video showing them jamming out to the iconic Beatles tune, “Don’t Let Me Down,”him with a regular-sized guitar and his adorable son – who was less than two years old at the time – strumming more of a pint-sized version.

It’s obvious to anyone who watches the clip that Diogo absolutely adores his dad – whose voice, it should be mentioned, is nothing to sneeze at. With this kind of talent running through his veins, we’re likely to see Diogo on some version of “Got Talent” soon enough!

While some toddlers his age might be shy on camera, little Diogo shows no signs of that, starting the song off with the full force of his voice.
Everyone who’s watched the video is absolutely delighted by the sweet duet, with one viewer saying that she always comes back to watch it whenever she’s having a bad day. It reminds her of the “small and important”miracles in the world.

Well, she should definitely keep an eye on this kid because he’s still going strong, graduating to larger instruments…
And, of course, he continues to emulate his hero!
