When this dog owner needed to take her four-legged friend to the pet store, she really wanted the black Lab to behave. So, Mom decided to make a deal with the pooch, and she caught the whole conversation on camera. In the footage, she told Lexi that, if she was a good girl, she’d get a special treat. This pup’s response to the woman’s proposal was too hilarious!

First, the pet parent explained to her dog why they needed to go to the store. Apparently, Lexi was all out of shampoo, and she really needed a bath! Mom tried to put it as delicately as possible, but even she had to admit that the pooch was starting to smell.
“It’s okay, everybody gets stinky,” she reassured the animal.
As Mom shared her reasoning for their upcoming trip to the store, the adorable dog seemed like she was actually listening! She tilted her head this way and that, as though attempting to understand the woman’s words. When her owner told her that she smelled bad, Lexi actually looked away as if she didn’t want to hear it! However, her interest was piqued once more when her mom presented the terms of her deal.
“If you’re a good girl at the store, Mommy will let you pick out a surprise,” she told the dog. “Would that be something that you wanna do?”
This dog agreed to Mom’s terms in the cutest way.
In the end, the Lab accepted her mom’s deal. Well, at least she shook on it. When the woman put out her hand, Lexi quickly placed her paw on top, sealing the agreement. In her caption, Mom shared that the dog remained true to her word!
“In case you want to know, yes she was a good girl,” the owner wrote. “Yes she got to pick out treats. Yes she took a bath after.”
Who would have thought that a simple verbal agreement would get this dog to be on her best behavior at the store? Lexi is one trustworthy pooch!
