When this dog owner took her Lab mix on a walk, she wasn’t expecting him to fall in love with an adorable cat sitting in a storefront window. However, that’s exactly what happened when Larry set eyes upon a feline who was, incidentally, available for adoption. Mom tried to pull the pooch away from the other animal, but he absolutely refused to move. Meanwhile, the friendly kitty kept staring at the dog from behind the glass. In fact, at one point, it seemed like she was trying to reach through the window!

“I don’t speak cat,” the woman said in her video. “Does this mean I’m required to adopt him?”
This started out as a joke, but Larry’s owner soon started to consider the possibility in earnest. After all, who was she to stand between these two becoming besties? So, she started looking into the adoption process. Things got even more serious when she learned that the cat in the window (who was actually a female) was typically not that outgoing.
“I actually found out that the kitty is usually very shy so it’s a great sign that she loved Larry so much,” Mom shared in the caption of her update video.
In that clip, she also revealed that she was in the process of bringing the window cat home. However, she didn’t quite have the funds for the adoption fee, nor could she afford pet supplies. She was going to have to wait until her next paycheck, which also meant taking the chance that her precious kitty might get snatched up by someone else!
Thankfully, that didn’t happen. When the woman returned to adopt the window cat that her dog had fallen in love with, the feline was waiting for her. She shared the sweetest footage of Larry getting into the car to go pick up their newest family member!
Unfortunately, since the kitty had just been spayed, she couldn’t play with her new canine sibling just yet. Instead, Mom kept her in a carrier on the way to the house. Once inside, she brought the cat to a separate room. However, the animal didn’t seem to mind. She was way too busy inspecting her new home to miss Larry just yet!
