Dolphin Crashes News Broadcast After Hurricane Debby

In the aftermath of a hurricane, life can look pretty different for a while. For some, this looks like attempting to paddleboard to work. Then there are those who nearly have their job interrupted by an aquatic creature. That’s exactly what happened to a Florida news broadcaster when a dolphin “crashed” his update on local flooding. At that point, a significant amount of water was still sticking around, inviting creatures of all kinds to get closer to land.

But animals weren’t at all the focus of Trevor Sochocki’s live report. So, while he continued with the broadcast as normal, viewers were focused on the dolphin stopping by to say “hello!” In fact, Trevor didn’t even react to the adorable animal passing by him. Watch this wholesome moment for yourself in the video below!

“And this is what residents should be watching out for,” Trevor said, aligning perfectly with the dolphin’s first appearance.

Next, Trevor invited viewers to look to the other side… which is the exact side the dolphin was swimming toward. Despite the perfect timing, it’s unclear if Trevor even noticed the dolphin. So, we’re simply left to wonder: Did he actually not notice or is he simply an expert at remaining focused on the job?

“I couldn’t be a cameraman. I’ll be like, “Look look behind you!'” one person shared in the comment section, with another adding, “Dolphin was like, ‘Might take a vacation [on] land while I can.'”

“I would have lost my train of thought and been like ‘Aw!!! A dolphin!!! Did you see that dolphin?'” a third person admitted.
