On March 14, President Trump stopped to talk with reporters at Joint Base Andrews military facility in Maryland. During the brief encounter, one reporter smacked the president in the face with her question, quite literally. News.com.au caught the moment on camera, and it’s pretty wild. While Trump speaks, a boom microphone pops up and hits him in the mouth. The president gave a quick side-eye before the reporter said, “I’m so sorry,” off camera. And while the president fields questions about Gaza, he quips, “She just made television tonight.” Donald Trump then added to the joke, “She just became a big story tonight, right?”

After a laugh, he went back to the questions.
It Appears Donald Trump Took The Whole Thing As A Joke
The microphone didn’t appear to hit him that hard, and he made a face and moved on. The video caused quite a conversation on social media. Many people shared the video clip on social media, like Nick Sortor, who wrote on X, “WATCH: A reporter just HIT President Trump with a microphone, But 47 handled it like a PRO. Who the hell did it?”
Many worried about what could have happened.
Like this person, “Suppose that the microphone had a poisonous substance on it. Trump would be dead. This is no laughing matter.”
And this one, “Reporter should be fired. No mic should be placed that close to the President.”
Others absolutely believe hitting Donald Trump in the face wasn’t’ a joke or intentional, but an accident.
“Pretty sure it was an accident, dude. You frame it like he was assaulted…,” someone commented.
This person agreed, “I firmly believe it was an accident, and she was horrified inside.”
“I hope it was an accident….if that’s the case, just a stern talking-to about how serious this is. If it was on purpose, you need to be fired. It’s not a joke, and it’s a privilege to interview the President,” someone wrote.
