Doorbell Camera Captures Heart-Stopping Moment Desperate Mom Rushes To Neighbor With Choking 7-Yr-Old

As a parent, there are certain situations you can’t help but fear. One of those happened to Stephanie George recently. On Saturday, she and her 7-year-old son were enjoying a normal evening together. Because Sebastian has a rare genetic condition called Cornelia de Lange syndrome, he eats through a feeding tube. Normally, he experiences little to no issues. But on that night, something went wrong.

Turns out, a piece of chicken did not get blended well enough for the 7-year-old. As a result, the food got lodged in his throat. He began to choke. Stephanie did her best to stay calm, but it didn’t take long for this situation to become dire. As a result, this mom was forced to make a tough choice… and fast.

“I grabbed my phone to call 911, but as I was reaching for my phone and unlocking it and typing in the number and looking to assess Sebastian, he was already blue,” Stephanie explains. “And that’s when I started to panic.”

When Her 7-Year-Old Turns Blue While Choking, Mom Wisely Rushes Over to a Trusted Neighbor for Life-Saving Help

Afraid that help wouldn’t arrive in time, Stephanie rushed over to a neighbor named Gary Hutchinson. With Sebastian in her arms, she spoke to Gary through his doorbell camera while he made his way to them. Despite the dire situation, both adults were able to remain calm and act quickly. See for yourself in the video below.

Thankfully, Gary has CPR training, so his instincts kicked into gear once Sebastian was in his care. So, as terrifying as this situation was for all three of them, in the end, this sweet 7-year-old was saved just in time. Plus, he’s doing just fine now! Needless to say, Stephanie couldn’t be more grateful.

“Things could have been so much worse,” she says.
