Drew And Ellie Holcomb Share The Sweet Connections Between Their Music And Their Marriage (Exclusive)

Drew and Ellie Holcomb

When Drew and Ellie Holcomb met in college, she instantly made an impression. The pair were at a party, and Ellie struck up a conversation, asking Drew, “What did you do today?” This began an amazing dialogue, but not a romance. The pair didn’t see each other again for six months, and Ellie tells Inspiremore that this was the beginning of a very “deep friendship.” But as the pair got to know each other even better, Ellis says she realized, “It’s pretty fun to marry your best friend sometimes.” When your best friend shares the same goals and interests, the love part just comes naturally.

It Took A Long Time before Drew And Ellie Holcomb Decided To Work Together

The couple recently released their first album together, Memory Bank, and Drew says 20 years of making music around each other made making music tighter easy.

“We just finally got to a place where we thought, ‘this is actually kind of ridiculous that we haven’t made a duets record together,” Drew recalls.

The pair set aside time to make the record happen, and they couldn’t be more proud of what they’ve created. Ellie adds that they realized they were touring together every year but hadn’t been writing tighter.

“We started touring together again, and it’s one of our favorite times of the year because we get to be together,” Ellie adds. “It’s all the things we love.”

She says traveling, music, and special time together mean a lot to them.

Ellie adds, “I am so glad we did. We had an absolute blast making this music together.”

Memory Bank by Drew and Ellie Holcomb is out now. The pair shared on Instagram, “This album was inspired by our shared love of adventure and experiencing new things, and how we both love to say “YES!” to “putting money in the memory bank.” We may die broke, but we will have a great time and make a lot of stellar memories before we go! We hope this record inspires you to make some new memories of your own, and cherish the ones you already have.”
