The much-anticipated Moana sequel will hit theaters in just a few days. It’s been eight years since we met Moana, Maui, and Hei Hei the rooster. It’s no surprise fans are excited to see them again. Dwayne Johnson reprised his role as Maui, everyone’s favorite demigod in Moana 2, to his three daughters’ delight. The doting dad took his girls to a premiere in Oahu, Hawaii, on November 21. The family looked thrilled to be there in photos from the red carpet.

Dwayne Johnson Wrapped “Moana 2” in August
The Rock shared pictures on Instagram of himself and his daughter in the recording studio wrapping up production on May 20. He shared, “The more down this windy road of life I go, the more I realize that my greatest and most comforting inspiration and joy, is being loved by my daughters.”
During the Moana 2 premiere, Dwayne Johnson shared the evening with his daughters Simone, 23, Jasmine, 8, and Tiana, 6. His two younger daughters did voiceover work for the film, so this was an extra special event for everyone. In photos from the red carpet, Dwayne and his daughters beamed alongside their dad and his mom, Ata, and wife, Lauren Hashian. Everyone wore traditional Hawaiian leis to celebrate the big night.
Ahead of the premier, Lauren shared a video from the big day. She announced the girls would join Dwayne Johnson as part of the Moana 2 cast.
“Tonight will be the very first time we all get to watch it and hear their little voices come to life… we can barely contain the excitement! This movie has truly always meant the world to them and now they always have an even extra special connection .. definitely deserving of a cheeehooo!”
This isn’t the end of the Moana excitement. Dwayne will star in the live-action version, which will hit theaters in 2026.
