A group of elderly performers has been astounding audiences with their spot-on impression of the Royal Air Force’s aerobatic team, the Red Arrows. What’s especially impressive about their act is that there are no airplanes involved! Instead, these entertainers use wheelbarrows to parody famous stunts that typically take place in the sky. Cleverly, they call themselves the Red Barrows!

Social media user Lewis Lister caught some incredible footage of the elderly acrobats in action during an outdoor show. In his video, the Red Barrows performed amazing feats like jumping through flaming hoops with wheelbarrows in tow. Everyone was wearing the same bright red aviator outfits, complete with flowing white scarves and curling fake mustaches.
One of the most hilarious moments in the video was when the group attempted a barrel roll. This stunt is usually pretty dramatic when executed by pilots, but the Red Barrows brought a certain levity to it. That’s probably because, instead of rolling airplanes over in mid-air, they were just rolling their bodies across the grass while holding onto their wheelbarrows!
What makes the Red Barrows so special is that everyone clearly has lots of fun while performing these wheelbarrow feats. As the group wrote in their bio on X, they’re dedicated to making people smile and raising money for worthy causes. We couldn’t think of two better goals!
These days, some may know the Red Barrows by a different name.
Last year, the Red Barrows celebrated their 21st anniversary. We’re not sure when and where Lewis managed to catch one of their shows, especially since they don’t make very many public appearances anymore. According to the East Anglian Daily Times, many of the group’s members have instead formed a band called Reptile Dysfunction. They sure have a thing for punny names!
