Two years after Uncle Andy’s life-altering stroke, his niece was finally walking down the aisle to marry the love of her life. On either side of this beautiful bride were her two favorite men (besides the groom): her father and her uncle! Thanks to this man’s strength and determination, he regained the ability to walk with the help of a mobility aid.

“I told my Uncle Andy after his stroke that if he could walk again, I wanted him to walk me down the aisle,” the bride wrote over her footage. “He worked hard for two years to make that happen.”

Sophie shared the most beautiful clip of her uncle walking her down the aisle after his stroke. Although it was slow going, she looked incredibly happy to have Andy with her during that once-in-a-lifetime moment. Commenters were moved by this sweet wedding video!

“My dad is a stroke survivor and walked me down the aisle,” recalled one user. “With a limp and a smile. Tears all round. So proud of your uncle.”

Another wrote, “You have given your uncle the greatest gift of… life! A reason to go on, a reason to heal! You already know the meaning of true love!”

Uncle Andy and Sophie are also in business together.

This niece has actually done a lot to help her uncle heal after his stroke. She started a small clothing business to give the man a sense of fulfillment during this difficult time. Working there has become a big part of Andy’s recovery. He even designs t-shirts for the shop!

Sophie must be so proud of her uncle’s progress over the past few years! Andy must be pretty proud of his incredibly loving and supportive niece, too.
