Benton Dunkle from The Dunkle Family Farm raises show pigs for competition. The young man decided to try the trend of fainting in front of animals to see their reaction. This year, he works with three large pigs, each reacting differently to his fainting.

They added the pig’s “thoughts” to the video, which made it even funnier. With his first pig, Barney, Benton’s faint wasn’t very convincing. Barney did stop to check his handler. The voiceover had the pig checking for a pulse. Barney nudged Benton at the hip and armpit, and then it seemed to check his wrist. At least Barney appears to care a bit.

Andy was the next show pig in the queue. Benton performed another noticeably fake faint for the pig. Andy nudged Benton’s armpit as the voiceover said, “Seriously, kid? We have work to do.” Andy got a little aggressive, poking Benton in the belly until the boy magically was all better. The heavy application of pig snout apparently has unknown healing properties.

Butterscotch was last. This pig is cold, callous, and completely non-empathetic. When Benton faked a faint, the pig veered off and walked away without a care. The voiceover says it all: “Oh, good, my workout is over.” Poor Benton was left for dead, and Butterscotch was on his way to the mud hole.

The “Fainting” In Front Of Pigs Or Other Animals Trend Isn’t New
In the past, InspireMore wrote about a hobby farmer who did a fainting test on his geese. The geese reacted better than any of Benton’s pigs. They surrounded the farmer and began sounding a loud, honking alarm that could be heard three counties over.
When the owner of two highland cows tried the fainting challenge, her cows had a unique reaction. Seeming concerned at first, they nosed the girl, confirming that their caretaker was “dead.” Once that fact was verified, they mentally shrugged and began eating the snacks from her cold, “dead” fingers.
Fainting in front of cats is probably the worst idea of all. These little creatures thought their fainting owners were cat beds, muffin factories, or uninteresting floor decorations. If you’re a cat owner, you know.
People will undoubtedly continue to have fun with this trend. As the audience, we will continue to amuse ourselves with the reactions of the different animals. I look forward to a future full of hilarious critters like Butterscotch, who don’t care a bit that their owner is down for the count.
Please share if you laughed.
