Everyone has their perception of “the perfect Christmas tree.” Some families search open forests while others visit tree farms or sell lots filled with precut trees. Emily Chissie and her family found their perfect Christmas tree in the forest. At first glance, the reigning reaction is, “What in the world of Charlie Brown Christmas is THAT?”

The scraggly, almost barren little Christmas tree looks lonely in the forest setting. Emily saw the little tree, and her intuition took over. That little tree with the bent trunk and scrawny foliage was a perfect ten in her eyes. Hoping her intuition was correct, she initiated the “cut” order.
Carefully moving the snow around the base, the Christmas tree is cut and removed from the forest. Emily must have been seeing something that all the skeptics missed.
The Christmas tree from the forest went to a new home, and like the ugly duckling from our childhood tales, the transformation was incredible. They placed the tiny, misshapen tree into a tree stand. The very crooked trunk held a prominent position. The little tree fit perfectly in the small nook in their home.
Once the tree had minimal decorations, it lost its scrawny appearance. Every bit of the tree’s beauty burst forth to declare, “I am the perfect Christmas tree!” Emily was right: this “10 in the forest” became a “15 at home.”
For Emily, intuition seems to have served her well. The outlook when seeing the little Christmas tree in the forest was not good. It was so scrawny. The result is inspiring after getting it home and adding decorations and lights.
Please share if this is a perfect Christmas tree.
