Button quails are super cute tiny birds that people like to keep as pets. Unlike common quail, they are not edible, and the eggs are too small for much of anything. Did we mention that they are super cute? Fat Hen Farms has made a series of video comparisons to show the world how tiny and adorable baby button quails are.

Adult button quails only reach three to seven inches, with the females being larger. If the adults are that small, baby button quails are tiny. In the video, we learn they are smaller than a regular-size marshmallow. They only weigh about 2 grams, which is also what a copper penny weighs.
The series currently has eight parts comparing baby button quails to common household objects. The first video begins with a button quail inside a mansion. We joke; it is inside a cleaned-out regular hen egg. It is roomy enough in the eggshell to seem like a mansion. A strawberry in part two offers a good comparison.

In addition to being super tiny, baby button quails are speedy. If you let them run, they will scamper off before you blink. Our Fat Hen Farms host has posted videos with his little animals. They all have names, and we do not know how he tells them apart. We also have no idea how many adult button quail he has. There are bunches.

While he compares the baby button quails to household items, we can see how much they’ve grown in two weeks. Follow the farm on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, or YouTube to continue watching them grow.
In addition to being adorable, these little birds are great fun to have around.
