Former R&B Mega Star Breathes Sigh Of Relief After Sharing She’s Homeless

En Vogue Homeless

In the 1990s, En Vogue was one of the most successful R&B groups of the decades. Together, Dawn Robinson, Cindy Herron, Maxine Jones, and Terry Ellis were nominated for seven Grammys and gave us anthems like Hold On, My Lovin’ (You’re Never Gonna Get It), and Free Your Mind. The women were on top of the world, but fame can be fickle, and soon, En Vogue was no longer en vogue. Dawn left the group in 1997 and started on a solo career. En Vogue briefly reunited in the early 2000s, but Dawn’s life changed greatly three years ago. The En Vogue singer is homeless and living in her car. But Dawn isn’t sad about her new life. She shared her joy on YouTube.

Some Warned The En Vogue Singer Not To Talk About Being Homeless Online

But she didn’t listen. She said in the video she wants to be open and honest with her fans.

“You guys, for the past almost three years, I have been living in my car,” Dawn shared. “I said it. Oh my gosh, it’s out.”

Dawn said living in her car gave her freedom, and she is happy. “It’s not like, ‘Oh my God, poor Dawn. She’s living in her car. It’s terrible. Oh, woe is me,'” she said. “Like I said, I’m learning about who I am. I’m learning myself as a person, as a woman.”

Fans loved seeing the En Vogue singer speaking her truth about being homeless.

One wrote, “I respect her for having the tenacity to go against the norm and do things on her own terms. She will succeed again.”

Another believes this will lead to great things. They wrote, “This channel will grow miraculously in the next month.”

This fan is starting a similar journey of being homeless with the former En Vogue star. “I just started living in my car 3 days ago in San Diego and I have to say this experience has been humbling in so many ways but I know when I finally get back on my feet I will appreciate the simple things so much more thank you for sharing your journey.”
