Friends Spot Abandoned Christmas Tree On Side Of Road & Embark On Silly Rescue

Three people help carry a Christmas tree on the side of the road. All three are smiling and laughing

One person’s Christmas mishap is another person’s Christmas miracle. At least that was the case for the folks involved in this viral video. It all started when a woman named Melissa Chin, along with her group of friends, were traveling down the road. Amidst their holiday fun, one of them spotted something unusual on the side of the road. Looking closer, it was an abandoned Christmas tree… and it was one they decided to rescue.

Giggling all the way, Melissa and her friends took the time to circle back to where the tree was located. It’s unclear if they noticed at the time, but upon closer inspection, the tree had a tag with the name “Jeff.” Odds are, this indicates that the tree had belonged to someone else. So, with no way of knowing how long the tree had been there, or if Jeff was ever going to come back, a decision had to be made.

So, in the name of “finder’s keepers,” this friend group, quite literally, stuffed the beautiful Christmas tree in their vehicle. But this was only part of the battle. Turns out, it can be rather tricky to get a tree inside a home, especially on the second story. But don’t worry — that didn’t deter this determined group! See for yourself in the video below.

“Thank you for rescuing off the side of the road #adoptdontshop,” someone hilariously shares in the comment section of the video, with another requesting, “[Please] save the tag and hang it on your tree every year!!!”

“The way I couldn’t even be mad if I lost my tree and it absolutely made other people’s day like this though,” a third person admits.
