Póilín Nic Géidigh is a traveling adventurer with an affinity for food, drinks, and a whole lot of fun. She is an Irish girl who is proud of her heritage. She is fluent in her native language of Gaeilge, meaning the Irish language, which is also known as Gaelic. Even though English is her second language, she still appreciates funny puns. On a recent trip, Póilín was confused when they arrived at their location.

Thinking they were attending an Oasis concert, Póilín hoped the band might play their popular song, “Wonderwall.” Disappointment hit with the realization that she was at AN oasis with nothing to do but sightsee. Since that is one of the things she does best, we’re sure it was a great time.
In a second post, Póilín includes several images, including a close-up of the oasis. The caption is in Gaeilge, but translates to, “At least I can say I’ve seen Oasis now, one way or another.” Reading through her captions and some of the comments from friends, it is evident that she enjoys funny puns.
One of Póilín’s recent trips wasn’t as Pacific but did leave her underwater. She took a tour around San Cristobal Island in the Galapagos. The day tour makes a complete circuit around the island, with opportunities to snorkel. She enjoyed snorkeling with the fish, seahorses, sea turtles, eagle rays, and hammerhead sharks.
When Póilín isn’t traveling, she designs and markets products celebrating her Irish heritage. She sells them on her website, Mara Duit, which translates to Sea for You.
Whether traveling or marketing her products, this young lady has a real zest for life, and she intends to make the most of it.
Please share if you enjoy funny puns.
