The cause of death remains a mystery, but the news sent shockwaves through Hollywood. At 95 years old, Gene certainly lived a long and whole life. But the news of his sudden death impacted those who loved him, including several Hollywood legends. Clint Eastwood shared a statement about Gene Hackman’s death with People. She said, “There was no finer actor than Gene. Intense and instinctive. Never a false note.” Clint added, “He was also a dear friend whom I will miss very much.”
