George W. Bush’s Hysterical Inauguration Expressions Went Viral & His Family Is In Stitches

There is something about George W. Bush that seems both super reliable and pretty darn childlike. If nothing else, it appears former President Bush enjoys his life, and his facial expressions indeed show it. The 43 presidents of the United States attended Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20, and the cameras caught him smiling, laughing, winking, and raising his eyebrows in pretty comical ways. Photos of George W. Bush at the ceremony quickly went viral, much to the amusement of his Today Show host daughter, Jenna Bush Hager.

According to People, the 43-year-old daughter of the former president joked on Today, “You all already guessed what moment has been blowing up our family group chat,” she said. “Yeah, my dad went viral for these cutaway shots during yesterday’s broadcast. The internet’s obsessed with this little smile and goofy expression.”

She laughed and called Barack Obama a “bad influence.” The two get themselves into trouble, just like kids in school.

Jenna laughed, “I just love how when they’re together, they become unusual friends.”

The former first daughter added that George W. Bush went viral because he might not have really wanted to be there. But as a former president, it was the right thing to do.

“You know when you’re watching your kid’s holiday concert or whatever and — if you’re honest — you don’t really care about the whole scene. You’re just zooming in right on your kid. That’s a little bit about how we watch an inauguration in my family. I’m like, ‘What’s happening with the parents,’ “Bush Hager said.

Jenna added that it’s not just her dad’s inauguration photos. It’s pretty standard for George W. Bush to end up viral, “He goes viral for basically anything. He didn’t do anything. I mean, that’s what his face looks like.”
