There are few things more American than the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on NBC. Families have enjoyed the time-honored tradition for nearly 100 years. More than 3 million people gather in New York City annually to watch the parade, and this year will be no different. The 2024 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will take place on November 28, and actress Alison Brie will cut the ribbon to signify the beginning of the festivities, People reported. The parade will begin at Central Park West and make its way to Macy’s flagship store in Herald Square.

The 2024 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Will Feature A Star-Studded Cast
From Broadway performers to much-loved balloons, this parade has it all. According to Macy’s, there will be 22 balloons, including classics like Ronald McDonald, Snoopy, and the Pillsbury Doughboy. New balloons this year include Spider-Man, Gabby from Gabby’s Dollhouse, and Marshall from Paw Patrol.
We’ll see 34 floats from LEGO, 1-2-3, Sesame Street, Tom Turkey, and new this year, Magic Meets the Seas. Some floats will carry our favorite stars, while others will perform in front of Macy’s. Keep your eyes open for Idina Menzel, Joey McIntyre, Rachel Platten, T-Pain, and Walker Hayes. And of course, there could be a surprise of two, so keep your eyes peeled.
The 2024 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will also feature clowns, marching bands, and dance troops. Indigenous Enterprise, Spirit of America Cheers, and Riverdance plan to appear.
The parade traditionally features performances from hit Broadway musicals and this year, we’ll see performances from Death Becomes Her, Hells Kitchen, and The Outsiders. Of course, no Macy’s parade would be complete without the Radio City Rockettes and an appearance by the big guy himself, Santa Claus.
The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 2024 will air on NBC Thursday at 8:30 a.m. central. It’s our favorite way to start Thanksgiving, and we’ll be there.
