Want to have an unforgettable proposal? Think outside the box! The man who proposed to his girlfriend on Wheel of Fortune certainly did. Then there’s the man who orchestrated an audience of one amazed beluga whale. That said, a proposal does not need to go perfectly in order to be amazing. Brian Vandercruyssen’s proposal to his now-wife, Alisa, is the perfect example.

His plan to pop the question involved an adorably animated video. But before he could show it to Alisa, he needed to lead her to a perfectly decorated outdoor space. Unfortunately, the walk there proved to be a bit hazardous. So, while Alisa unknowingly headed toward her big engagement moment, she took quite a fall. See for yourself in the video below!

Although Alisa and Brian are walking hand in hand, that does not stop her from totally falling on the ground. Both of them immediately succumb to uncontrollable fits of laughter. Heck, even the videographer joins in! The buildup to a proposal can be a bit stressful, but it’s clear this moment was a nice ice-breaker.
“Words cannot describe my happiness,” Alisa wrote when sharing news of their engagement. “The most magical day. I love you so much, fiancé!!”
“Literally swept you off your feet,” someone in the comments points out, another adding, “And he is reminded why he’s doing this in the first place.”

Brian proposed to Alisa back in 2021. So, it has been quite a while since they got engaged. Still, they find themselves reminiscing over the day of their engagement often — and we understand why! That fall, and video proposal, make for a fantastic story.
