Dev Erlic opened a page titled Skylars.The.Limit after adopting her dog, Skylar, as a puppy in 2021. When she brought home her son, Shalom, in 2023, he and Skylar formed an instant connection. So he started popping up on posts, too.

“It’s really special to see the two of them just like really hit it off,” Dev told GMA.

It wasn’t long until videos of the duo filled the page. In them, the two play, dance, hike, and get into general “mischief.” One post, which Dev shared earlier this month, highlights some of her memories of her toddler and golden retriever. And it has already earned about 10k likes.

“Just some recent clips of the duo that melt my heart every single day,” Dev wrote under the post. “When I watch them together, I am reminded that goodness, love, and pure-hearted joy still exist in this crazy world. ❤️ Share this with someone who can use that reminder too.”

Golden Retriever And Toddler Are “Starting To Get Into Some Mischief”

While chatting with GMA, the proud mom admitted that she was a little nervous about bringing a new baby home to a dog who was still in her puppy phase. But overall, she knew that Skylar would adapt quickly.

“It was very important to me to train her in a way that, like, she would be comfortable with kids,” she shared.

And, as the videos prove, the efforts paid off. The golden retriever has been gentle and playful with the toddler as the two explore the world together. The sweet relationship has brought nearly 83K followers to the page.

“They’re definitely starting to get into mischief together,” Dev noted. “So that’s cute. When I feed him, Skylar knows that right next to Shalom’s chair is the place to be. They’re really sweet, and he has a best friend for life.”

“So it’s really special,” she continued. “I’m grateful that I’m able to give that to him.”
