Golden Retriever Does The Sweetest Thing When His Sister Has A Bad Dream

Images show golden retriever Chip gently nudging his sister awake from bad dreams.

Gamja is a golden retriever who pretends to be a potato. Her little brother, Chip, is her constant companion. When their pawrents brought Chip home as a wee pup, Gamja was like a surrogate mom. She nuzzled Chip and offered comfort. Now that he is grown, the golden retriever comforts his big sister when she has bad dreams.

When raised as siblings, animals form close bonds, even when they are different species. Gamja means “potato,” and she is a total couch potato. We’re not sure why Chip is Chip, but it might be because he sometimes acts a little fried. The bond the two share is undeniable. When Chip was tiny, his big sister was always there for him.

Now, the two are grown, but they still comfort one another. When Gamja has bad dreams, her golden retriever brother nudges her gently awake. They exchange nose boops and nuzzles.

When they’re not actively comforting each other, the goldens are always together. Sometimes their pawrents wonder what kind of trouble they are plotting. Other times, they’re celebrating the holidays and just being adorable.

Another thing that is happening as they grow is they are changing roles. When Chip was little, Gamja would try to coax him to play. Now, Chip is trying to engage with Gamja.

When Gamja and Chip had to spend time apart, their reunion was special. While Mom and Dad had to travel in different directions, each took one of the dogs. When the golden retrievers were reunited, it was like a dream come true. One remarked, “It’s the dog version of the parent trap.”

Please share if you enjoy the antics of these siblings.
