Golden Retriever Mom Gets Camera Notification & Sees Pure Hilarious Chaos

Images show a golden retriever zooming around the family's deck.

When you’re a golden retriever mom, you get used to your dog being weird. It’s a golden thing. Rosie the Golden is no different. Rosie lives with her Mom and cat brother, Frank the Maine Coon. Frank is laid back and spends much of his day relaxing and watching Rosie. Imagine Rosie’s Mom’s surprise when she got a notification from her backyard camera of activity on the deck and saw this happening.

The golden retriever’s Mom couldn’t help but laugh because the scene was pure chaos. Rosie was dipping, diving, and zooming with crazy spins and tons of energy. Frank was casually sitting on the deck rail in observation mode. At one point, Rosie stopped to sniff him, but Frank just swished his fluffy tail and ignored her. That did not stop the dog as she continued her frantic bouncing, sliding, and spinning.

The golden retriever’s paws create a snappy, staccato beat on the deck, which her Mom enhanced by adding Cancan music. The upbeat music creates visions of French dancers holding their skirts up and high-kicking across the stage in a line. The music perfectly blends with Rosie’s zoomies.

We have visited with Rosie and Frank before. Rosie seems to spend a great deal of time in zoomie mode, and Frank never seems very energetic. Their Mom did catch them wrestling, with Frank instigating the rough play. We think he won the battle.

In case you’re wondering, Rosie doesn’t do well on a leash for the dog sitter. She began chasing her tail. Once she caught it, she did a series of hilarious somersaults. It does appear that this golden retriever offers her Mom endless hours of entertainment throughout the day.
