Levi Blehm was clearly smitten as he held the golden retriever puppy, who was adorably swaddled in a fuzzy blanket. Judging by the expression on the little guy’s face, he was head over heels for Dad, too! This tiny pup kept gazing up adoringly at his new owner, which only made it harder for the man to keep from crying.

“I can’t believe how cute this dog is,” Dad said.

Pretty soon, the man went from just holding the golden retriever puppy to showering him with affectionate kisses. It didn’t seem like the dog minded at all. In fact, he looked as comfy as could be wrapped up in his owner’s arms!

“Can you get used to this?” the man asked the cozy pup.

Then, he made this pooch the most beautiful promise.

“I’m gonna love you,” he said. “Did you know that, buddy?”

In the background, you could hear Mom occasionally giggling over her partner’s infatuation with the new golden retriever puppy. His reaction to holding the sweet pooch in his arms was way too precious! Over 27 million people have watched this heartwarming clip online.

This golden retriever has gotten a lot bigger since then!

Based on more recent videos, it looks like Levi’s puppy isn’t so tiny anymore. Affectionately named Goose, this golden retriever is all grown up. However, he’s still best buds with his dad!

It seems that Levi kept his promise. He clearly loves this pooch with his whole heart!
