Dogs are skilled at so many things — sharing, unfortunately, is not one of their strong suits. This is something that most dog owners recognize, but for those with two or more pets, this is something their four-legged friends remind them of daily. Still, watching two adorable dogs playfully fight over a toy can be fun as long as no one is getting hurt. Luckily, when two golden retrievers are battling it out over a toy, or a stick, there’s little to no need to fear.

Okay, so every dog is different. But for the most part, it seems that golden retrievers are not ones to fight, even when they want a toy really bad. But just because they don’t want to fight doesn’t mean they’re going to give up easily. As a result, you can often find two golden retrievers in what has to be the most polite game of tug ever. See what I mean in the video below!
Although one of these pups can’t help but snarl a bit, for the most part, they’re both so calm. It’s like they don’t want to be rude but, at the same time, they don’t mind making it clear they’re unhappy.
“Oh my gosh, I thought this was a photo for a quick second,” someone admits in the comments, with another adding, “Almost like a Canadian standoff!”
Adorable Golden Retrievers Politely “Fight” Over a Stick
These two adorable dogs aren’t the only golden retrievers who fight in this odd way. In fact, there are lots of videos online of determined pups just like them!

As shown in the video above, not all golden retriever fights are the same. While some may snarl, others will still hold paws as they politely hint for the other one to let go. My favorite part, though, has to be the fact that their tails are still wagging! Truly, what did we do to deserve golden retrievers!?
