Golden Retriever Steals The Spotlight During Wedding As Cutest Ring Bearer Ever

Close up of a golden retriever smelling a bouquet of flowers held by the bride. The groom's legs can be seen just behind the dog.

Weddings are a celebration of love. It’s no wonder, then, that it’s so common to include as many loved ones in the ceremony as possible. This can include our family and friends, of course, but we can’t forget about our four-legged friends, too. This couple in Liverpool, England certainly didn’t! Rather than have a human child be their ring bearer, they chose their adorable golden retriever, Pancakes.

Turns out, this couple chose the perfect name for their pup because he is oh-so sweet! This is true simply because he is a dog and, well, all dogs are sweet little babies. There are no exceptions. But this is also true because of how adorably Pancakes follows through on his very important role in his humans’ wedding. You can see for yourself in the heartwarming video below.

As you can see, Pancakes is dressed to the nines in his little doggy suit. It’s made perfectly so that he can carry the rings. Although he seems to be a bit nervous while completing his task, his tail wags away as he makes his way down the aisle.

Golden Retriever Makes the Best (and Most Adorable) Ring Bearer Ever

Pancakes gets a bit distracted by all of the people watching him. Still, wedding guests help keep Pancakes on track and, for the most part, he has his eyes set on his humans anyway. In fact, once gets close enough, he sprints into their arms, happily wagging away. Sure, this probably made getting the rings a bit more difficult, but how contagious is his pure excitement!?

“This made me smile (and people say I don’t smile much),” someone in the comments of the video admits.

“That is the BEST Pancake to have!!!!!” another person writes.
