While this epic scenario usually only happens in film and TV, there are a few artists who go out of their way to change their fans’ lives. Green Day is the perfect example. In addition to their powerful music and activism, they’re known for going above and beyond for their fans.

In fact, just last year, Billie Joe Armstrong invited a young fan onstage to sing Know Your Enemy with them. But that isn’t the only time something like this has happened at a Green Day concert. One night, a fan’s sign stuck out to Armstrong, the lead singer. It was a simple sign: “I can play Good Riddance on guitar.” But that was all Armstrong needed to see to let this fan prove it!
