We recently ran a story about a mother who helps to ensure her young son knows how to treat women by going out on dinner dates. Once a month, they go to a restaurant where he opens doors and pulls out chairs for her, then pays the bill (including tip!) with the money he earns doing chores.

But in the same vein, shouldn’t girls know how they should be treated?
Charlie Egress, a college freshman in Newport News, Virginia, thinks so. So in mid-February, he took his girlfriend Alex’s 12-year-old sister Elizabeth out on a dinner date — pleasantly surprising Alex herself, who works at the restaurant.

“I just took her out to a nice dinner and gave her some tips about what a guy should do on a typical date. She definitely enjoyed herself, we always have fun together,”he said. “She’s so awesome to be around.â€

He took some photos during their “date” and posted them on Twitter, but the images went well beyond his own followers and were retweeted more than 24,000 times.

And Twitter is going crazy over his sweet idea.

“We need more guys like you. I am glad she is finding out how she should be treated,”wrote one poster.
“This is actually the cutest thing I have ever seen,”agreed another.
What a great way to set an example for how a young lady should be treated!
