The Oscar nominee recently chatted with GQ and discussed his future career plans.

He said, “I suppose I should be sitting on my a–, but I actually love working.” Fans love his career almost as much as he does. He is remembered for several iconic roles such as Han Solo from Star Wars and Indiana Jones from the Indiana Jones franchise.

Harrison said he enjoys telling powerful stories and it’s “the quality of writing” that’s most important when accepting new jobs. He continued, “It doesn’t matter what the genre is. It doesn’t matter whether it’s on television or in movies. It’s the writing; it’s the story; it’s the character; it’s the emotional experience for an audience or for myself.”

What Is Next For Harrison Ford?

Harrison Ford’s latest project is Shrinking, in which he plays Paul, a therapist suffering from Parkinson’s disease. His role in this TV series started in 2023 and is currently in its second season. Fox News also shares that the actor is set to begin another project. He has “Signed on to play Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross, a.k.a. Red Hulk, in the new Marvel movie, Captain America: Brave New World.

While this last project is stepping outside of his wheelhouse, Ford shares that deal that he worked out with himself. He said, “I’d do something that I just really wanted to do because of the people involved or the subject matter or the character, and then I’d do one that I think would be a popular success because I think that’s important also.”

Regardless of the role, it is apparent that Harrison Ford is not retiring anytime soon. We cannot wait to see more roles added to his legendary career roster.
