For most of our lives, we’ve been made to believe that celebrities are all extremely rich and have big paychecks. Ocassionally, some stars shine a bit brighter than others, but if they’re on our TV or movie screen, they must be getting a fat check, right? Actually, maybe not. Henry Winkler claims he quite literally earned crumbs for his role in the 1998 Adam Sandler film The Waterboy.

Adam Sandler Personally Called Henry Winkler For A Favor
Henry told Kelly Ripa’s Let’s Talk Off-Camera podcast Adam, “Called me up in the middle of the night. He said, ‘Henry, I need a favor. My actor didn’t show up. I need you to drive right now to the park in LA.'”
Of course, Henry is a pro and knew that he wanted to help his pal out. He told Kelly he got up and dressed, shaved, and drove to the park at 3:30 in the morning to help Adam.
Stars often keep their salary under wraps, but we love it when they dish the dirt on pay. Luckily, Henry wasn’t shy and told Kelly, “Do you know what I got? A cookie.”
Surprisingly, Henry and Adam have worked together several times, and Kelly was shocked by the pay. She asked, “There’s no Maserati for Henry Winkler?”
“I didn’t even get to keep my wardrobe,” Henry joked.
Even though he didn’t get rich from the movie, Henry adores Adam. “I love him.” Henry called Adam wacky, loyal, funny, and a family man. “He is whatever you imagine.”
