The way that Hollywood stars parent can be very different from their fellow actors. Some celebrities want their children to be in show business and will do all that they can to help kickstart their careers. Others keep their children out of the spotlight entirely, never showing their faces or mentioning their names. It’s certainly a personal choice of what works well for every family. Since the 1970s, Henry Winkler has been a household name in America. For some of us, he’ll always be Arthur Fozarelli, and that’s okay with him. In addition to acting, Henry Winkler has two grown sons and a daughter who were raised in Hollywood. However, Henry made sure that his kids didn’t make career choices when they were younger, which could have negatively affected them in the long term. Zoe and her dad shared a story on her podcast, What In The Winkler, about how doing her father really is.

Henry Winkler Will Always Be Fiercely Protective Of His Daughter
Zoe asked her dad during the episode, “Do you remember when I was in the running to be The Bachelorette?”
Her dad replied, “Oh, my goodness. And we put a stop to that, and only for your protection.”
Henry didn’t want his daughter to be a reality TV star, so he put the kybosh on another appointment for Zoe to film a show called Quarter Life Crisis with Kim Kardashian and Sarah Howard.
“I’ll never forget Matt Hanna. He worked at VH1 at the time, he flew out to LA and did a sizzle reel of us. And I don’t even think like I mentioned it to you. I was living at home at the time because I was just done with college. He came to the house and you met him outside.”
“I did,” Henry jumped in. “I said, it is so lovely that you’re here; I can suggest some really good restaurants. My daughter is not doing your show.”
It seems Henry Winkler did the right thing for his daughter. She pursued a career as a teacher and fulfilled her calling in life. Sometimes, the father really knows best.
