When you’re a kid, there is something special about going to your grandparents’ house to spend quality time. If they have a dog, then life is just that much better. Many of us know Henry Winkler as Fonzie from Happy Days, but to his six grandkids, he’s just a loving grandpa with a fluffy dog.

Henry shared a sweet image on Instagram captioned, “Granddaughter and our puppy.” It perfectly depicts a kid having a lazy summer day with a furry friend. While we may think of Henry as a big star, he’s really a dad and grandpa who loves his family and is with them as much as he can be.
A fan commented, “Oh my gracious. An amazing capture. This one needs a frame.”
He recently told People that having grandkids is much different than being a parent. He and his wife, Stacey, share sons Max, 38, and Zoe Emily, 42, and his stepson Jed Weitzman, 51, from Stacy’s previous marriage. Together, the three kids have six children of their own: India, Ace, Lulu, Jules, Gus, Francis Joan, and one on the way.

He explained to People that he’d run the house the same way since his kids were little. He said that he had some rules everyone had to follow.
“Now the rules in the house, and there are a few, only a few, are the same. When the youngest granddaughter is sleeping, there is no fighting, there is no yelling,” Henry Winkler said. “They are in charge of their friends to keep it down.”
His grandkids have even gotten the former Fonz on TikTok. In 2023, he shared with The Jennifer Hudson Show that he loves to dance.
“I’m only on TikTok with my grandkids,” he told Jennifer Hudson. “My oldest
granddaughter, India, said ‘Papa, you have to make a TikTok.'”
