The rippling result?  Simply gorgeous.

Based in New York City, Rower uses different shapes of varying dimensions  as the base pieces for his art.  In this case, he uses a box.

Then, and with many different cups filled with carefully ordered paints, he (along with his team) begins simply pouring each sample on top of the other… and that is the genius of his craft. Though this may seem like a simple tactic, it quickly transforms into a layered masterpiece.

One of the best ways to capture Rower’s process?  A time-lapse video.  The process of the art become simply entrancing. Director, producer and editor Dave Kaufman showed just how beautiful this technique really is in the video below.

This quote sums it up pretty well:

“Art is freedom. Being able to bend most things people see as a straight line.” – Author unknown

Rower truly encompasses this concept of making the ordinary, extraordinary. How will you apply that to your life today?
