Interior view of a house burned down from a fire. A wall still stands but nearly everything is burnt and falling apart

Just four days into 2025, the lives of Alexus Wilkins and her fiancé, Hunter Pittman, got turned upside down. Their entire house became engulfed in flames. Sadly, this means that the family lost nearly everything. Still, Alexus and Hunter are thankful they still have each other, the others who live with them, and their surviving dogs.

During a time of such intense hardship, the couple is also finding some humor in their situation. While it’s true that they lost most of everything they owned, there is one lone item that survived. Somehow, it’s both shocking and totally expected that this is the single item that would have made it. Find out what that item is in the viral video below.

That’s right… out of everything in that home, the only thing that survived the house fire was a Stanley cup. Needless to say, both Alexus and Hunter found this discovery to be pretty hilarious. This is true, in part, because this isn’t the first time a Stanley cup has gone viral for a similar reason.

Stanley Cup Survives a House Fire in Georgia, Proving Once More That These Cups Are Basically Fireproof

Toward the end of 2023, a woman named Danielle shared that her car was ruined by a fire. But folks were most interested in the seemingly untouched Stanley cup. So, she gave us all a closer look in the viral video below.

“Petition for Stanley to build houses,” someone suggests in reply to Alexus’ video, with another adding, “Note to self, keep valuables inside a Stanley cup.”

Two Stanley cups surviving two separate fires is amusing enough. But on top of that, it seems that both times the design may have been the same: Lainey Wilson’s Country Gold cup. Whether or not that has anything to do with these surprising incidents remains to be seen. In any case, we have a feeling the popularity surrounding these cups is sure to continue on for quite some time!
