The father of five sat down on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on October 9 and finally shared the names of his two youngest daughters—Lulu Danger and Blue— whom he shares with his wife, Anna Eberstein.
The big unveil came after he opened up about his middle name, Mungo.
“I must ask you about your middle name because this is a little detail,” said Jimmy. “I don’t know how it slipped past me the last time. But, Mungo is one of your middle names, yes?”
“It’s actually Hugh John Mungo,” Hugh said before joking that he “had very unkind parents.” Then, he laughed and said he gave his eight-year-old daughter a “worse” name because he froze under pressure.
“I was in a bit of a panic with my wife on the day we named her,” he said. “And we thought it might be nice for her when she was older if she could say in bars that her middle name was Danger.”
Hugh Grant Is A Father Of Five
Hugh Grant added that his five-year-old is named “Blue” for the same reason—panic. But he initially thought to name her “Kevin” because that is his “favorite Minion.” However, his son steered him in a different direction.
“We did think about calling her Kevin,” he noted. “But then we said, ‘You better think of something else,’ and [my son] said ‘Blue’ because it’s his favorite color.”
“My children love it. They love it,” he said of their unique names. “Actually, Lulu Danger Grant and her sister, Blue Grant.”
Hugh Grant is also father to Tabitha Xiao Xi, 13, John Mungo, 12, and Felix Chang Hong, 11. He shares his three oldest children with his ex-wife, Tinglan Hong.
