After being married for over a decade, this woman discovered a letter from her husband that completely shocked her to the core! He had left it in their home for her to find when she woke up in the morning. When she read the contents, she couldn’t believe her eyes! She immediately texted her partner to ask him how he could have said something like that to her after their many years together. However, all the man had to say was that he had to be true to himself “even if it hurt.”

You’re probably wondering what this husband could possibly have written in his letter to upset his wife this much. Well, she shared a picture of his typed and printed message on social media. In it, the man flat-out told his spouse that he wouldn’t be spending the evening with her and the kids because he had to watch the Knicks game. What nerve!
“Ladies… choose yourself,” wrote the woman in her social media post. “I woke up to this nonsense after almost 11 years of marriage.”
In case you hadn’t already figured it out, this wife was kidding when she responded to her husband’s slightly ridiculous letter. After all, he’d clearly typed out this elaborate message as a joke! Well, for the most part. He probably did want to watch the game uninterrupted. However, he definitely overdramatized the situation on purpose!

“Y’all are on your own for a couple of hours,” the husband’s letter said. “No I will not watch our shows with you. No I will not get you something sweet. I will not take the dog out. I will not get the kids in bed either. I will sit on my couch, drink in hand and I will watch the game.”
While this might sound a bit harsh, at least the man prefaced his demands with a declaration of love to soften the blow. He also reminded his wife that he would be more than happy to hang out with her “AFTER the game.”
What a hilariously over-the-top letter! Although this wife may have pretended to be insulted by it, the fact that she can joke with her husband like this is a sign they have a pretty strong marriage.
