Goats and deer are both ruminants. They have a lot in common, so when Kat found a deer, she put it in with her goats. The confused animals just screamed and screamed. In the video, the screaming goats had Kat laughing because the situation is hilariously pitiful.

With continuing encroachment into their home forests, deer are often found near residential areas and small farms. Deer are learning to adapt to their new human neighbors. One young deer even played peek-a-boo with Dawn Buck. One stray fawn became best friends with a golden retriever pup, but Kat’s goats were not quite as welcoming.
After the unsuccessful attempt to keep little BooBoo with her goats, Kat let the fawn roam free around the small farm. As he grew, she bottle-fed him, then switched him to solid foods. She played with him, running around happily.
Eventually, the little fawn grew out of his spots. Kat let him roam around inside the house occasionally. The little deer even helped out by prewashing dishes in the sink. He did not like the ceiling fan at all. Kat took her little rescue baby on car rides. Although the deer never did make friends with the goats, he did seem to enjoy the company of the cat and a chicken.
Kat considers the summer she spent caring for the rescued fawn as one of the best in her life. From barely walking, she nursed the little fellow to healthy adolescence. She never kept him locked in, so he had full run of the farm. When he was ready, he went to the woods on his own. Although she misses him, Kat is pleased that he was confident enough to leave.
