Jack Nicholson Steps Out For “SNL” ‘s 50th Anniversary Years After Disappearing From Hollywood

Jack Nicholson

Jack Nicholson likes his life nice and quiet. He never really retired from Hollywood but hasn’t acted since 2013. Jack was once a staple at Los Angeles Lakers games, sitting courtside to watch his favorite team play, but he’s also retreated from that activity. Instead, at 87, Jack enjoys a simple life with his family. But when a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity line SNL50 comes along, Jack Nicholson isn’t going to miss it. The Shining Star headed to New York City on February 16 to celebrate Lorne Michaels and the 50th anniversary of Saturday Night Live, a weekend staple for five decades.

Jack Nicholson Never Hosted “SNL

It may come as a surprise that an actor as well-liked and respected as Jack was never tapped to host. But even so, he was there to cheer on many of Hollywood’s biggest comedic stars as they celebrated a huge milestone. Jack Nicholson introduced his Anger Management co-star, saying, “Ladies and gentlemen, Adam Sandler.” The song proved to be one of the highlights of the evening. Adam was incredible, as always, and fans loved seeing Jack Nicholson’s signature grin.

Jack Nicholson and Adam Sandler made the evening special for a lot of people.

A fan wrote on YouTube, “Jack introducing Adam made the whole evening. Best segment of the night.”

Another agreed, “So great to see JACK!!!!”

“This whole video is a tribute to old and modern-day SNL, to the ones we have still today and the ones we have lost over the years. And seeing Jack Nicholson after so many years and introduce Adam Sandler warms my heart,” an Adam and Jack lover shared.

This person loved it, too. “Was never a big Sandler fan growing up, but as an adult, I’ve come to appreciate him. His Farley song was ridiculously good, and this song, the same. LOVED seeing Jack! Really good show. This segment was the best. His description of the human involvement of working there was so real.”
