A viral video of Doreen playing You Are My Sunshine for the baby will warm your heart like a nice hot cup of tea. Doreen performs an upbeat version of the tune while the little boy nestles on her shoulder. He is very clearly happy to be with his grandmother and can feel her love not only in her touch but with her beautiful music, too.

Doreen effortlessly blows on her clarinet as the baby rocks along. There is so much love and sweetness in the interaction, and it’s easy to tell they’re both in heaven.

Jazz Fans Were Impressed After Listening To Grandma Play Her Clarinet For Her Grandson

The Jazz Estate shared the video on Instagram, and it quickly gained a lot of attention.

Someone wrote, “Oh my gosh, I ADORE this!”

According to her website, Doreen has appeared on numerous radio and television shows. She recently earned her doctorate degree in music from Five Towns College in Long Island, New York. Doreen’s love language is her music, and she wants to bring that joy to as many people as she can.

“Her intense passion gets under your skin and brings you to a new place. Be it, Gospel, Blues, R&B, Classical, or Jazz. Dr. Doreen Ketchens can rock her clarinet on many levels, then sing like a songbird on a sunny day.”

Thankfully, for Doreen’s grandson, all she has to do is pick up her clarinet, and everything will be right in the world again.
