João Carlos Martins is a renowned Brazilian musician and conductor, but because of a degenerative disease, he hasn’t been able to play the piano with both hands and all of his fingers in decades. The 80-year-old has undergone more than 20 surgeries to alleviate the pain he feels, but he still couldn’t tickle the ivories.

Now, thanks to the wonder of science, João can perform the way he used to! It’s all because of a pair of bionic gloves that were custom-made for him. He shared a clip of himself playing the piano for the first time in over 20 years while tears of joy streamed down his face, and it’s beautiful!
